The Concept for a World Class City located in Malindi was developed by Africans in theDiaspora. They had developed a taste for a well-planned and managed cosmopolitan city with the beauty, serenity and cultural diversity of the African continent. So far, there has been none in existence.

Malindi is an exquisite region located by the Kenyan Coast renowned for its tranquil atmosphere, fresh seafood, sunny weather, pristine white beaches and age old Swahili-inspired architecture.

African and its peoples dispersed in the diaspora have contributed substantially to Global development. However, their efforts have not always been recognized worldwide.

We now feel confident that we have the capacity and determination to build cities to live in and design and build cars to drive on roads that we have constructed for ourselves. We can reclaim our culture and social life while enjoying the trappings of technology and Globalization.

While things cannot remain the same, People of African descent may feel and believed that there is a part of us that has been taken away. Times when we have been made to feel and believe that we are a lower class community and that anything that we bring to the table is substandard and needs someone else’s attention to be acceptable and valuable.

The Development of Proximity Point City of Return is a statement to the world that we belong. We no longer conform to any of the categories others may have subjected us to, but we are a strong, intelligent community who have gracefully waited for our time. 

The World Class City will be both an action and a statement. An action to demonstrate our vision, ambitions and worth as well as a Statement to say that our kindness, generosity and peacefulness are not a sign of weakness but are our innate nature.

The City will be the preparation ground for the rising of a Giant. It will be a ground where many strong and capable African leaders from the Diaspora will gather to pool their efforts together to transform the entire world.
